For many Midcoast families, one unexpected expense can create a downward spiral. Through nonprofit partners supported by United Midcoast Charities, local children are receiving childcare scholarships that allow parents to keep working, stay financially stable, and continue building a future for their families. Sometimes the difference between falling behind and moving forward is simply knowing your community has your back.

SENIORS & CONNECTION

For some local seniors, a food delivery is about much more than a meal. It’s a safety check, a familiar face, and a reminder that they are not alone. Funding supported by United Midcoast Charities helps older adults across Knox and Waldo Counties remain nourished, connected, and able to stay in their homes with dignity.

HEALTHCARE & MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

Medical equipment can be life-changing — and financially overwhelming. Through support from United Midcoast Charities, community partners like Camden Area District Nursing operate a free medical equipment lending library, giving local families access to walkers, wheelchairs, hospital beds, and other essential equipment when they need it most.
