LEARN @ UMC
(Leveraging and Engaging Area Resources and Networks)
Welcome to LEARN @ UMC where we are empowering Midcoast Maine nonprofits for greater impact.

LEARN@UMC is all about the power of community support and collaboration. Through our grant funding and capacity-building programs, we amplify the impact of local nonprofits, enabling them to better serve Mainers in need.
By providing tangible tools and educational resources, we address critical community needs. Our programs are designed based on direct feedback from the organizations we support, ensuring that we meet their most pressing needs for professional development and guidance.
Key Statistics:
– Less than 30% of our partner agencies have a budget for professional development.
– Over 85% of attendees report they would otherwise be unable to access this type of training.
– We offer workshops, coaching, networking, and consulting resources at no cost to our grantees.
Join us in empowering Midcoast Maine nonprofits to create a stronger, more vibrant community. Together, we can make a difference. Learn more about our programs and how you can get involved today.

What our Attendees are Saying
``Many thanks to you for a super enlightening morning!``
``UMC provided a free training to its grantees on how to find additional funding sources. They have several databases which will be very helpful in identifying organizations funding groups like But Still I Am One or The Belfast Soup Kitchen which serve our local, homeless or hungry people in Waldo County, Maine. UMC has been critical to our ability to serve our clients and this workshop was incredibly helpful. It was well- organized, thoughtfully designed in small groups, and hopefully, very effective in helping us identify more funders.``
``It was a great workshop! I am excited to take advantage of all these resources!!``
