Welcome to the Community Volunteer Hub!

Serving Knox and Waldo Counties, this online hub connects people who want to help with the organizations that need them most.

Volunteering benefits everyone. It strengthens mental and physical health, builds friendships, provides valuable experience and community service hours, and helps young adults gain new skills. Most importantly, it strengthens the fabric of our community.

Through this hub, you’ll discover opportunities with local nonprofits, municipalities, and fiscally sponsored organizations— and the list is growing all the time.

Getting started is easy:

  1. Complete the general interest form below so we can suggest opportunities tailored to your interests and availability.

  2. Keep an eye on your email for opportunities based on your selected preferences.

  3. Respond directly to the organizations that reach out with opportunities. (Each organization may also have its own volunteer form and additional requirements such as background checks and training.)

No matter your skills, time, or interests, there’s a place for you to make a difference. Together, we can make our communities stronger, safer, and more welcoming for all.

Thank you for stepping up to serve!
